Spring flower gift bag

This fun little bag was a Spring Workshop project over the weekend. I found the little bags at the dollar store - 12 for $1. They are a little flimsy, but once it was decorated it was a little sturdier and ready for a little gift.

I folded open the box, igoring the scores on the sides that would make it an actual bag. I wrapped a piece of b&t paper around and glued it into place. On the front panel, I added a square of Cranberry cardstock, layered with a random stamped panel. The flower stamps are from the Delight in Everything set and I used Cranberry, Breeze, and Buttercup inks to stamp.

The small flower in the corner was stamped on a piece of cranberry cardstock. The cardstock was placed on a thin mat (the cushion provided with CTMH's stamps) and with an embossing stylus I gently outlined and pressed the entire image. Finally, I sanded the front of the embossed image and attached it to the bag with a piece of foam tape. The final touch was a knot of ribbon on the handle.

Here's another view so that you can see the fun paper a little better.

Valentine's Workshop

The ladies that came to my workshop last weekend were surprised by the "unconventional" Valentine's they got to make - pleasantly surprised, I hope!! This little set was made using my favorite newer paper packet from Close to My Heart. It's called Life Delights. I love the patterns and colors in this packet!!
The colors are Blush, Sweet Leaf, Chocolate and Lilac Mist. We used lots of fun embellishments and several different techniques on these cards. They are 3x3, 4x4 and 4-3/4x3 and they all fit in the box. (The 4x4 does fit - just barely!!!)

Check back tomorrow and I will show each item individually!

Gift Boxes

These are two gift boxes that I have made with recent classes. The first is a chinese take-out box. I purchased these in bulk at a local restaurant supply store.

For the box, we used a New England Ivy panel cut to fit the front of the box - it is glued on with Glue Dots. (The surface of the box is coated and shiny. I figured the Glue Dots would keep that first layer securely attached to the box better than just glue or Tombow.)

The tag is inked first in Colonial White ink, then
"rolled" on Vineyard Berry to ink only the sentiment and the edges of the tag. The center label was stamped in New England Ivy ink. The holly and berries were stamped, cut out and glued on at an angle.

Then we created a tag for the top of the box and tied it on along with a couple extra pieces of coordinating ribbon.

This adorable box is made with QBee's peek-a-boo box template found at www.splitcoaststampers.com. It is an awesome little box. We used the same stamps and colors on this one.

Inside is a special treat of Andes mints - one of my favorites!!! The window is covered with a piece of transparency.

Harvest Gift-box

These are NOT the best pictures, but hopefully you will still get the idea!

I was happy with how this box turned out - I've used it with two classes in the last couple weeks and it's been a fun project to share.

I used CTMH White Daisy cardstock, Garden Green cs, and Autumn Terracotta cs and B&T paper. Inks are Autumn Terracotta and Garden Green and I used colored pencils to add more color to the images. The pumpkins were stamped first in the Autumn Terracotta and then I used a GG marker to go over the stems. There is light sponging around the lower portion to soften the white around the vines. The flap at the top is held closed by a spiral clip.
