6 x 6 layout - That's Hot!

This is a fun layout I created a year or so ago. I am thinking of using it for pictures of me in my "little black dress" I got for the CTMH convention a couple years ago - obviously, those pics aren't on the pages yet!! I'm a little slow that way....

Any how, the colors are Bubblegum and Black. The dress is covered with prisma glitter to make it sparkly. And the purse, too!

The set is one of my favorite "girly" sets that CTMH carries - Totally Chic.

I'm working on some new projects and should have them photographed and ready to upload very soon.

Have a lovely day!!

All products are CTMH.

Happy Balloons

I stamped this card with the set Birthday Bash. The balloons are stamped with Sunny Yellow and Cranberry. The word image is stamped over the Cranberry balloon in black, and the strings were added. The balloon panel was layered on black cardstock and then tied with a piece of white organdy ribbon.

The word "happy" was stamped in black on a small piece of white cardstock. It's from the Solo H set.

The B&T is from the Giggles and Grins scrapbooking kit. Love those polka dots and stripes!! I adhered the balloon panel, and then glued the little "happy" tab right up next to it.

Hope you are having a happy Tuesday!

Pig Pile!!

Ok, I admit it. The only reason I bought this stamp set, Nursery Bash, was for the pigs!! I just LOVE this image of these pigs. They are SO cute!

For this 1st Birthday card, I stamped and colored the pigs with my watercolor pencils and waterbrush. They are layered on Breeze cardstock, then the sweet plaid b&t paper onto a Breeze card. The 1st was stamped on the sunny yellow circle and then again on the b&t. I cut out just the 1 and glued it over the 1 on the yellow circle. A small piece of folded ribbon was added behind the circle and it was attached with a piece of foam tape.

"Happy Birthday" was stamped inside.

Here's a close up of that cute piggy face!

A dark, blurry photo just to show that the circle/ribbon medallion was popped up on a piece of foam tape.

Embossed flowers

This stamp set was the March stamp of the month - Simple Beauty. I used a simple embossing technique on this card that makes it easy to coordinate your embossed images with your stamped images.

To begin, stamp the image you want to emboss on the back side of your cardstock. Place the cardstock - stamped image up - on a thin mat, and using an embossing stylus and firm (not hard or you'll punch through your cardstock) pressure, trace around the image. This will push, or emboss, the image into your cardstock. When you have as much of the image embossed as you like, turn the cardstock over and go over the image lightly with sandpaper. Because CTMH's cardstock has a white core, you get this great look when sanded.

Once sanded, I adhered the cardstock panel to the front of my card. Then I stamped the coordinating flower image on a smaller white panel and colored it with my CTMH markers - Garden Green, Olive, Buttercup and Cranberry. This was layered on Cranberry cardstock and tied with a length of Cranberry Sassy Strand, and adhered to the front of the card.

If you give this technique a try, please give me a link to your creation so I can see what you've done!! Have a great weekend!

So blessed...

Another card from my weekend workshop. Colors are Hollyhock and Twilight with B&T paper from the Best Friends paper pack.

The flower, from Treasures of the Heart stamp set, was white embossed on vellum and cut out. The center is a white sparkle gem, and it was taped on with Xyron vellum tape.

The sentiment, also from Treasures of the Heart, was stamped and white embossed on the b&t paper.

Here's hoping you have a bundle of blessings come your way today! Thanks for joining me today!

Friends and Flowers

Love this card! Totally stamp-lifted it from my friend, Jeri's, sample she shared with me!! I did use different papers and colors, but the basic design is hers.

The stamp set is Thoughts of You from CTMH. Colors are Sweet Leaf and Bubblegum. The sentiment is finished on the inside with the words: I'd walk in my garden forever.
