Easter gift bag

This little Easter gift bag was quick and easy to make. The handles are even paper, so it didn't take much in the way of extra supplies either.

I used the Easter Eggs SOTM for this one again. Colors are Blush, Sweet Leaf and Petal.

I made the grass by snipping little strips on a one inch strip of Sweet Leaf and then gently bending them down a little.

Thanks for visiting today!

Easter Eggs basket

This box was a challenge a few weeks ago at SCS (check it out here.)
It was super easy to make and, really, a lot of fun, too!

I used the February Stamp of the Month set called Easter Eggs for this project. The colors of cardstock are Sunkiss Yellow, Heavenly Blue and White Daisy. I used Heavenly Blue, Crystal Blue, Sunkiss Yellow and Buttercup inks. I used my big Marvy scallop punch for the yellow circle and my coluzzle system to cut the inner circle.

The eggs are a two-stamp layer - the solid layer was stamped in the lighter colors, with the detail layer stamped over it in the darker colors.

A simple 1/2" strip of Key Lime cardstock over the bottom of the eggs is the grass. Final touches were a little ink distressing around the edge of the white circle, a knotted piece of white ribbon and a blue button layered on.

Ready for Easter goodies!

Valentine Matchbox

This was my first try at making a matchbox - and it was a LOT of fun! I used the More to Adore papers and the All My Love stamp set for this sweet little box. Colors are Chocolate and Blush.
This box is just the right size for 3 Hershey's Nuggets. Fill it up and give it to someone you love!

Gift Bag...in a box

After seeing these delightful little bags....or boxes....bags in a box....all over the web lately, I had to give one a try. So here is my attempt. I used Evensong papers, New England Ivy and White Daisy cardstock, New England Ivy and Cranberry Inks, and the Annotations stamp of the month set for October.

Another Clippy Board

Here's another little Clippy Board that I made over the weekend with a larger binder clip. Really looks a little better than the small clip. I also inked the edges of the coaster after the papers were glued on and trimmed. And!!! I learned a really great trick for trimming those edges - rather than use a pair of scissors - use a sanding block. It shapes the corners really well, and takes off any excess paper. Very cool!
Papers are from the Good Times paper packet and the stamps are from the Star Struck set. The ric rac collection is a lot of fun for a "different than ribbon" look.

Cool Coluzzle projects and a paper bead bracelet

These projects were made using the coluzzle cutting system! No kidding!! Lots of fun!

And my bracelet is made with paper beads!! Yes, paper beads - they are rolled strips of B&T paper with clear embossing layered several times. I strung them with some really pretty silver filigree beads and a toggle style clasp. I wore it all day yesterday! Got lots of ooohs and aaaahhhs when I showed it to friends!

Clippy Board

This cute little "clip board" is made with a 4" square coaster. I covered both sides with a different pattern of paper from the Good Times paper packet. Then I stamped and cut out the star images (from the summer booking set). The circle star and green star are layered and attached with a foam square over the brown ricrac. The green star has liquid glass on it. The small binder clip is covered (even though you can't really tell in the pic) with a strip of another patter of B&T from the same paper pack. Then I tied a small piece of green ric rac and foam mounted a brown square onto the side of the clip. A thin stack of post-it notes are attached with the clip. I attached the brown ric rac with small dots of the liquid glass.

I would really recommend getting larger binder clips, but other than that I really love this little project! Hope you do, too!

Warm up with Hot Chocolate!

It's kind of chilly here today and hot chocolate sounds sooooo good right now! This is a cocoa packet I made a while ago. The top flap with the cup and saucer image folds up to show a pocket inside with a packet of hot cocoa tucked into it. The whole thing is tied closed with the pink ribbon that is glued under the layered image piece and wraps around the entire packet.

I stamped this on Chocolate cardstock with Chocolate ink. The cup and saucer outlines are stamped with the Chocolate ink as well, and the solid parts are stamped with Watermelon. I distressed the edges around then used the direct-to-paper technique with my inkpad to add chocolate color around the edges and over the top of the whole piece. It was then layered on a piece of Watermelon cardstock, to which I also added ink around the edges. The bottom edge of the flap was torn to expose the white center of the Chocolate cardstock. The packet itself was random stamped with the steam image in second generation, and the words Hot Chocolate.

Hope all that makes sense....
